1. Roomba iRobot i3+ from iRobot EVO
The i3+ EVO and its i3 EVO sibling the i3 EVO, are identical robots, but they differ in that the i3+ comes with self-emptying features. This makes the i3+ an excellent option for those who want a hands-off, fully automated cleaning experience, but aren't afraid of taking the time to empty their robot's trash bin when it is full.
Both robots are proficient in removing dirt and dust particles on carpets and hard floors and are able to maneuver around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates smart maps of your home that aid the i3+ EVO navigate and clean in a way that maximizes efficiency. However, unlike the i7+ and other top-rated robots that we tested, the i3+ doesn't have any obstacle-avoidance features which means it can get stuck on things like socks or power cords, and it may have trouble navigating across surface transitions like hardwood to carpet.
iRobot recommends clearing areas where the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, including clearing out any clutter or toys it may come across. It is also recommended to keep the filters and dust bin clean to prevent them from becoming clogged. If the i3+'s internal bin is empty or the battery is low it returns to the docking station and takes the dirt out of the docking station’s external dustbin. Then it continues cleaning from where it left off. The battery's life span is approximately an hour and a half of continuous use. It takes about three hours to fully charge.
2. Roomba from iRobot
The iRobot i7+ is an excellent model from iRobot's flagship line and is packed with the latest technology. It's self-charging, self-navigating and the most crucial feature of all -- it comes with an auto-emptying dustbin, which eliminates one of the main sources of maintenance for any robot vacuum.
The Roomba i7+ can keep up to 10 floor plans and their names with Imprint Smart Mapping, a system that allows it to create maps of rooms so that it can clean them more efficiently. It also integrates with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning tasks, and you can direct your robot using the app or via voice.
In our tests the i7+ was quicker and more maneuverable than our second-placed model and the eufy RoboVac G30, and it took large pieces of pet hair from all surfaces kinds, including carpeting. The biggest benefit over the eufy, though, is its self-emptying dustbin which removes a major source of maintenance and lowers recurring costs.
We were also impressed by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We used these services to instruct the robot to begin, stop, or pause cleaning sessions, as well as to move around the room, and vacuum a particular area. The process of connecting the i7+ to these services was easy and easy with the iRobot Home app. After connecting we were able to use the i7+'s voice commands, such as "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options for managing i7+ settings and monitoring the performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10

The V10 is powered by a 7-cell, energy-dense lithium-ion battery that produces fade-free power for 60 minutes. The advanced whole-machine filtering system is able to trap allergens and then releases cleaner air into your home. Its specialized cleaning head drives bristles of nylon that are stiff and deep into carpet to suck up large particles and fine dust. It has three suction modes to match the task that is being completed. It can quickly switch between handheld and floor vacuum, and vice versa.
The model comes with an attached dock that charges the Dyson to 100 percent within 3.5 hours. It also offers the ability to connect two attachments and an Wand. This is a huge improvement over older Dysons models, which take a long time to charge and are a pain to store.
The biggest issue with the V10 is its limited run time. As CR's tests have shown, its marketing claims of up to 60 minutes are misleading. This is a typical, not an exceptional, run time for an electric cordless vacuum powered by batteries. It's still enough time to vacuum the majority of an average-sized house however, it's not enough to clean every spot (though the second time around usually does the trick). That's not to say this model isn't a good choice: It's lighter and mobile than the older cordless Dysons, and its vacuuming efficiency is superior on carpets with a low pile.
4. iRobot Roomba 694"
The 694 is a standard robot vacuum that's a great choice for those who don't have lots of money to invest in the latest model of robot. best robot floor cleaner of sucking up all types of debris and sizes during our tests, and often passes over the same areas several times to ensure a thorough clean. The flat front of the unit allows to get into corners and along the edges of walls and walls, which is a nice feature.
Its navigation system is smart and uses iAdapt to avoid obstacles and navigate your home, but it lacks the ability to map that comes with more sophisticated models such as our top selections such as the i3+ EVO and the j7+ series. This means that it is sometimes stuck on things like phone cords or furniture that isn't in good condition, and frequently will run out of battery before returning to its home base.
The Xiaomi Mi robot vacuum is superior to the Roomba 694 in all aspects because it has fewer components that need regular cleaning and is equipped with an allergen-trapping HEPA filter, incurs lower costs for recurring maintenance, has more advanced automation capabilities and is more efficient in moving itself. It also has a larger dustbin and is charged faster.
The sleek RoboVac X8 has a superior battery life than the Roomba 694. It also comes with physical boundaries strips and can be controlled by your smartphone's voice assistance. It also feels more sturdy and has a stronger motor, and is able to perform better on floors that are bare and carpets with low pile, while offering a wider range of automation options.
5. Samsung Jet Bot AI+
Samsung is a name you see on all sorts of electronic gadgets for your home So it's no surprise that they're one of the most reputable robotic vacuum and mop makers. Their Jet Bot AI+ is equipped with cutting-edge onboard tech for navigation and obstacle avoidance.
The app provides plenty of options to customize your robotic cleaner, including virtual barriers mopping water levels, behavior customization, docking frequency settings, and more. The app is easy to use and understand as are other Samsung devices.
In our testing of the Jet Bot AI+ excelled on hard floors, and also handled dog hair (on carpet) quite well, clearing up 86 percent of it. However, it didn't do particularly well in avoiding taller objects like cords and socks which was a disappointment. It's also a bit more expensive than some of the other models we tested which could be a problem for some shoppers.
The smart vacuum has an onboard camera that you can access via the app, and you can also create a live stream from the robot's cleaning station. This feature allows you to keep track of your pets or kids when you're away from home. The filter and dustbin are washable for quick, painless cleanup. The Jet Bot AI+ comes with self-emptying clean stations, which helps keep the robot's bin clear and optimizes suction power.
6. Black & Decker Robot Vacuum
Unlike other robotic vacuums, that are made for hard floors and carpets, Black and Decker robots are designed specifically for hard floors. They feature an extra-wide cleaning path and a larger dustbin that holds 2X more debris than competitors to keep the cleaning area free of debris for the longest period of time. They also include two side sweepers for cleaning along edges and corners. The POWERSERIES model includes AutoSense, which automatically adjusts the power level depending on whether it's cleaning up surface dirt or embedded dirt. The vacuum also has an app that lets users to see the virtual map, manage functions, and set schedules. You can also track the status of the vacuum and connect it to the dock for charging with the press of a single button. The app also lets you to personalize the LED lights on the top of the vacuum using different colors, so that you can easily identify which areas it's focused on or where it's got stuck.
The app makes it possible to steer the robot manually in the event of need. My living room rug for instance has a dark-colored border which could cause a problem for other robots. However, the HRV 425BL continued to move across the border, but it didn't register it as a cliff. The ability to program a daily cleaning schedule for each week is a time-saving advantage.
